Funding
The People's Potato is funded primarily by a student fee levy, without which we would not be able to provide over 400 lunches per school day, a bi-weekly food assistance program, volunteering opportunities for students and community members, a community garden, and monthly educational workshops, among other services. Thank you!! As of 2019, the fee levy is $0.43 per credit for undergraduate students and $2.35 per semester for graduate students.
In past years we have also received additional grants for special projects and events from a variety of Concordia groups. Examples include:
-Canning project (Sustainable Action Fund)
-Equipment funding for our new kitchen (projected opening - September 2019) (Concordia Student Union)
-Painting of our kitchen ceiling (CCSL - dean of students)
-Gluten-free products (Sustainable Action Fund)
